This is a full-time, first-shift Accounts Receivable role for someone who likes solving problems, learning systems, and bringing order to financial chaos. If you have experience in AR, billing, or office accounting—and you don’t expect everything to make sense immediately—this role offers stability, skill growth, and long-term opportunity.

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 1st shift (daytime hours)

Pay Range:
$22 per hour, depending on experience

What This Role Involves

This position supports Accounts Receivable operations in a busy office environment. The work goes beyond simple data entry and includes investigation, communication, and reconciliation.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Posting customer payments (ACH, credit cards, and checks)

  • Researching payments that don’t clearly match an account

  • Resolving duplicate or misapplied payments

  • Answering phones and assisting customers with billing questions

  • Correcting billing discrepancies and finance charges

  • Working in both a current billing system and a legacy system

  • Reconciling invoices and account balances between systems

  • Providing backup support for AR and billing functions

The role requires attention to detail, follow-through, and comfort working through unclear situations.

What to Expect on Your First Day

Day one is about learning, observing, and taking notes—not about being perfect.

You’ll be:

  • Introduced to two billing/accounting systems

  • Walked through how payments are processed and tracked

  • Shadowing an experienced AR team member while real work is happening

  • Getting familiar with screens, terminology, and workflow

You should plan to bring a notebook and focus on absorbing information. No one expects you to master everything right away. The goal is to start understanding how the pieces fit together and build confidence over time.

This Role Is a Strong Fit If You:

  • Have prior experience in Accounts Receivable, billing, or accounting support

  • Are comfortable researching and resolving account issues

  • Can learn multiple systems without getting overwhelmed

  • Ask questions when something doesn’t make sense

  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams

  • Stay steady when things are detailed or unfamiliar

This Role May Not Be a Fit If You:

  • Need the job to feel easy immediately

  • Prefer repetitive, low-judgment tasks only

  • Get frustrated when systems don’t align perfectly

  • Avoid customer or phone interaction
